Last chance to comment on ALRC recommendations

The deadline to respond to the Australian Law Reform Commission’s (ALRC) consultation paper on reforms to anti-discrimination laws is fast approaching, with submissions due by 24 February 2023.

The ALRC recommendations represent some of the most serious threats to religious schooling in Australia to date. It is critical that the ALRC hears from every person concerned about this attack on religious freedom, especially from parents who have chosen Christian schools for their children.

In addition to accepting formal written submissions, the Commission is also inviting responses by way of a confidential online survey which can be accessed here.

The Human Rights Law Alliance has made a submission to the ALRC, providing detailed commentary on the proposals.

We would urge everyone who is concerned about this attack on religious freedom in Australia to make their views known to the Commission, either by way of written submission or participation in the survey.
