Defending everyday Australians from radical ideology

HRLA is on the frontlines fighting for freedom of religion, speech, parental rights, and the right of women and girls to have their own spaces. HRLA is representing Jasmine Sussex, a breastfeeding counsellor who is defending a vilification claim for saying that ‘men can’t breastfeed’ and speaking out against transgender ideology.

HRLA is also assisting the Australian Christian Lobby, which is intervening in Giggle v Tickle, a landmark Australian case about women-only spaces, after a decision last year found that under the Sex Discrimination Act, sex is not binary and is changeable.

These cases will be landmark precedents in the ongoing disputes about transgender ideology.

There were more victims in this cultural conflict recently at a private Catholic school in Adelaide.

A boy identifying as a transgender girl broke a number of records and won a majority of events as angry parents questioned the fairness of it.

The 13-year-old boy’s performance caused a controversy among parents at the K-12 school’s annual sports day earlier this year, according to news.com.au.

Parents wrote to the school only to receive responses they described as “political” and no clear actions.

HRLA is helping to protect the freedom to have open debate and dialogue about these important issues and to make sure freedom of religion is safeguarded. Every Australian should have the right to speak freely, especially when the rights of children, parents and religious organisations are at stake.

Through cases such as Jasmine’s, we are helping to achieve important victories that will change law and culture.
