Speak up for Dr Jillian Spencer’s right to speak out—let Australians question children’s ‘gender affirming’ care freely

Dr Jillian Spencer risked everything to protect children.

She questioned her employer, Queensland Children’s Hospital, expressing concerns about the hospital's use of the “affirmation model" in treating children with gender dysphoria.

She exercised her best professional judgement, citing potential risks and a lack of evidence-based practices.

For that, she was suspended.

Now, Dr Jillian Spencer has to go to court, just to protect her right to speak freely.

This is a worrying precedent for families and parents across the country who might have questions about “gender affirming” treatment, but are too afraid to ask for fear of reprisal.

Join the open letter to support Dr Jillian Spencer.

Show her and the government that Australians deserve the right to freely question gender affirming care for children.

Right now, she might be standing alone.

But she’s fighting for all of us —and for our children, and our right to speak freely to protect them.

Let’s stand together with her.

She spoke up for our children. So I’m speaking up for Jillian.

Dr Jillian Spencer is a courageous woman.

She spoke up for what she believed was right—and for that she was suspended.

This is not the free speech Australians are entitled to: so I’m standing with Jillian, and every other Australian who spoke out and got stood down.

Freedom of speech is a fundamental right – and Australians deserve to speak freely.

Without fear of losing their jobs.

Without fear of being censored.

And without fear of being forced to go to court.

Dr Jillian Spencer spoke up for children. So I’m speaking up for Jillian.
