Punished for protecting children – stand with me
At 9am on an ordinary workday, I was on a train home having been stood down for raising clinical concerns about vulnerable kids.
After twenty years in Queensland Health, I warned that distressed children, some as young as 12, were being fast-tracked to puberty blockers and opposite-sex hormones without a careful, whole-child assessment.
Instead of debating evidence, the hospital silenced dissent. I endured four show-cause processes and, in September, received a letter from the hospital outlining their disciplinary plan to terminate my employment.
I’m now taking legal action. It’s not for myself alone, but to protect children and to make it safe for doctors to speak honestly.
The goal is $114,675 to file proceedings, brief counsel, and commission expert evidence so the court hears facts, not slogans.
Your gift today tells every clinician watching: you do not have to live in fear for putting patients first.
Yours sincerely,
